Trust

If it matters, people should be able to check it.

How Fiddly Labs approaches privacy, product claims and information people need to check.

People should know what a product does with their data, where important information came from and whether the product is ready to use. We will publish product-specific details as each app gets closer to release.

Website controls

The public website is static and does not require an account. It does not use analytics, advertising trackers or marketing cookies. The content editor is a separate, noindex area and requires GitHub authorization before it can change repository content.

Data minimisation

We aim to collect only what a product needs to do its job. We avoid third-party scripts and data transfers unless there is a clear reason for them.

Keep the source nearby

When software organises important information, people should still be able to find the original source and check the result.

Honest product status

Research, development and availability mean different things. We label them plainly and do not present unfinished products as ready to use.

Security reporting

Use the contact details on this site to report a possible security issue. Please do not include sensitive user data in the first message.

We will not claim a certification or audit until it has been completed.
